Brandie Wilkerson
Meet Brandie Wilkerson, the current women's World Beach Volleyball Silver Medalist and also the first and only black woman to ever represent Canada at the Olympics in her sport! She made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games and left with an impressive Top Five performance, out of 24 teams. Brandie is known for her unmatched athleticism and power! Standing at only 5'11 she is the most undersized blocker in the world yet was named FIVB's top world blocker and the AVP's top blocker for both the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In Canada, she is a leading voice for young and aspiring athletes with a focus on breaking barriers. Brandie is the Co-founder of Project Worthy a scholarship aimed to increase the representation of BIPOC athletes in beach volleyball. PVL is integral to Brandie's training and competition. As a true unicorn in Canadian sports, the Brandie and PVL partnership will continue to inspire and drive change!
